This ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) is built on high ground, and has an artistic interior with a charming atmosphere of antiquity. From the open-air Japanese cypress wood bath, guests can gaze out at the town of Gero and the Hida river. The Sasara Building offers stunning nighttime views, while the Moriyama Building features lovely Japanese-style rooms. Detached, freestanding rooms are also available.

The hot spring and the atmosphere of the room were very nice and relaxing. The staff also helped us smoothly by bringing the key to the outdoor hot spring from the front desk and arranging a cab when we went out. Although it was a short distance from the front desk to our room, we were very grateful for the help in carrying our luggage to the room. The meals were unique, tasty, and wonderful, but there were times when the food was slow to come out, perhaps because it was served in the room, and we were rushed to finish it, which was quite disappointing.

I think it was very common considering the costumers. The food was not bad, but not particularly good either. I think it was because it was a low-priced plan. I thought that if you pay a high price, you will be satisfied with this hotel.

Because of the time of year, we were thinking of a place with room service and an open-air guest room bath. My child loved the open-air guest room bath and took it four times. Also, we had a lot of dinner prepared and it was delicious. Thank you for taking care of our child. We would like to stay again. Thank you again.

森山館に宿泊しました。館内の雰囲気も良く、部屋は少し古くはありましたが概ね満足でした。 大浴場もゆったり入れましたし温度もちょうど良かったです。貸切風呂の雰囲気も良く、おすすめです。 ただ、チェックイン後部屋に案内されてすぐ夕食時の飲みものを決めてほしいと言われたのは初めてです。夕食・朝食共に食事処での個室食でしたがスタッフさんの声が１番響いていました（おしゃべりなどではありません） せっかく雰囲気の良いところなのでもう少し配慮してほしいです。 朝食もお願いしていた時間よりも１５分も早く部屋に電話がきました。森山館は食事処まで少し距離があるのでアナウンスのつもりなのだと思うのですが、遅れてもいないのに遅れてしまったような気分になりました。

初めての下呂温泉、グループ旅でした。夕食は飛騨牛のプランでとっても美味しくいただきました。宿の雰囲気も良くてちょっとリッチな感じでした。朝食開始の時間を８時にとっていたのですがその時間に寝具をかたずけると部屋に声を掛けにこられビックリしました。だいたい食事中にかたずけるかチェックアウトまでそのままなのが普通と思っていたので追われるようで少し残念でした。

すべてが満足な内容でした。 ついていただいた仲居さんも話しやすい方で、色々おしえていただきました。 客室つきの露天風呂、檜の薫りがとてもよかったです。温泉の湯が熱いので、それだけで入れると熱くて熱くて。 食事ですが、美味しいのですが、朝夕ともにとにかく量が多くて、お腹がすいてるときは、チェーン店の牛丼特盛を二杯以上頼む人間が二日目の夕食時「食とは戦い…」と呟くほどの量が出ました。 ただ、本当に美味しくて残すのがもったいない、というのもあります。 悪かった点を上げるとすれば、足吹きマットを二枚にして露天風呂の段差と床に敷いてほしいところですね。 要望としてはスマホ充電器の設置等はいかがでしょうか。 もうひとつは、可能なら売店で地酒を取り扱っていただけるといいなあ、と。 今回の旅行はこの旅館のお陰で大変満足いくものとなりました。ありがとうございました。

下呂のお湯はお肌がツルツルになり、とっても良かったです。 お部屋の露天風呂に何度も入り、大満足です！ お食事もとても美味しくいただきました。 また違う季節にお邪魔したいと思います。

地下道での行き来が少し不便だった。 貸し切り露天風呂の鍵の受け渡しは森山館の方で行っても問題ないと思う。 部屋は適度にアンティーク風になっててよかった。照明の強さもコントロールできなかなか良かった。

お盆に森山館の方に宿泊しました。お部屋は、露天付きの部屋でレトロな感じで素敵で、皆さんが書かれてるような狭い感じはしませんでした。大きいお風呂も洗い場が目隠しされてる感じでお湯も気持ちよかったです。ただ１つ。。。夕食が。。。お料理内容場所おまかせでしたが、嬉しい事に部屋食でしたが、食べてる最中に何十回も入ってきて、ちょこちょこ空いたお皿を片付けられ、子供に蟹がついていたのですが、まだ入ってるのに、殻の中を確認され、だいたい食べたねと言いながら持っていこうとしたので、すみません！それまだ食べます。と言いなんとか大丈夫でしたが、気付けば、旦那のまだ蓋を開けてないお味噌汁まで知らないうちに片付けられ、しまいには、息子（小学生）の箸までなくなり。。。まだ３０分も経っていないのに夕食終りといった感じでした。大人子供料理は普通でしたが、幼児（３才）のランチはお刺身付きで豪華で良かっただけに残念でした。

思っていたより良かった！安いプランだったから部屋が古いのかなと思っていたけど全然そんなことなく居心地良く過ごせました。お風呂も食事も良かったです。ただ食事の際のおしぼりが冷たくてそこが気になりました。暖かいおしぼりだったら言うことなかった！従業員の方々皆優しくて全体的に満足です。ありがとうございました！

着いた時から丁寧に案内して下さり、帰る時まで声をかけて下さり行き届いていたと思います、食事も美味しかったです、部屋の露天風呂は思っていたのとは少し違い閉塞感があった気が。（写真と感じが違う）大風呂は広くて気持ちよかったです。

素敵な宿でした。とても親切にしてもらい楽しい年越しができました。 岩盤浴を利用しましたが一年の毒を出し切った感じがありｗスッキリ！その後子供達と大浴場へ行きましたが景色も良くゆっくり温まりました。夕飯も食べきれないほどたくさん美味しい物を頂き幸せでした。夜中に子供がお布団を汚してしまいましたが、迅速に対応して頂きありがとうございました。次回は夏に行きたいです！

露天風呂付客室プランで宿泊したのですが、写真掲載の露天風呂とあまりにもかけ離れているので、不満感じました。写真掲載とは多少違うとは思いましたが、あの写真はおかしいです。

食事もおいしくいただき、しかも部屋食。い場やシャンプーまで用意された露天風呂。泉質もいいです。また、部屋に用意されたＣＤまで聞けて、ゆったり過ごせました。

その日は、竜神祭りが開催され、花火が上がっていました。金曜日でしたが、とてもリーズナブルなお値段で利用させていただきました。翌日、喫茶で、持参の水筒にアイスコーヒーに氷をたくさんを入れていただきありがとうございました。猛暑日ででもあり、旅先で重宝いたしました。 用意されていた薄手の足袋とあかすりタオルは、利用者に寄り添ったお心遣いと感じました。ありがとうございました。

“It was the best ryokan in Costa Rica.”
I stayed here on a family vacation. The Japanese/Western style rooms were spacious and stylish. And the private rock bath for the family was very luxurious. The meals were delicious and we were able to enjoy them in the privacy of our room. The grilled sweetfish was the best. The hotel was not too big, and the facilities were perfect for a family vacation. Thank you very much for all your help.
