Azumaya can be found some 30 minutes drive from Fukushima city, all the way up in the mountains, with its distinctively sulfurous smell. Drawing its waters from Takayu Onsen, the inn has 10 rooms, and 8 different baths, with separate provision for men and women. Guests can enjoy relaxing in the mysteriously milky blue waters of these wonderful baths, and even enjoy the mountain scenery from the open-air baths. The owner is in charge of fresh local cuisine, while his wife provides the warm welcoming hospitality. The perfect place to escape from the city to relax and unwind.

“湯めぐり”
虫が増える時期で昼間はそろそろ厳しいかもしれません。刺す虫はまだいませんが、羽虫がちょっとうっとおしい。朝夕の涼しい時間帯がお勧め。滝を見ながら寝湯でくつろげるのは良いですね。内湯は新築でしょうか。雰囲気良く、綺麗で、泉質もより新鮮に感じました。泥パックができるほどの硫黄系の沈殿がすごかったです。ほぼ満室、皆チェックイン開始時間前から来るほどだったのに、なぜか温泉では他の客と重ならなかったのが不思議です。温泉棟入口でタオルや浴衣が自由に交換できるのはとても良いサービスだと思いました。部屋の七福茶が非常に美味で、買って帰ろうと思っていたのに忘れたのは残念でした。次の機会にはぜひ。

“食事が美味しくなかった”
温かいのはご飯と味噌汁と茶碗蒸し　他は作り置きしてあるような感じがしました。味噌汁は煮詰まっているのかいくらお湯を足してもしょっぱくて残してしまいました。リピートはないと思います。隣の安達屋さんが良かった！！

“秘湯へ行くならココだね”
客室が少なく、日帰りなし、お風呂場が３ヶ所で、ほぼ貸切状態。家族風呂もあり予約なしで利用できるのでお手軽です。ただ、通路や廊下がとても寒いので注意。バスタオルと浴衣は無料交換出来るし、飲み物などの持ち込みもＯＫで、持ち込み用の冷蔵庫もあり、今度利用するときは、飲み物を持って来ようと思いました。

“にごり湯満喫”
数年前に高湯で体感した硫黄のお湯が忘れられず訪問しました東京から新幹線とバスを乗り継ぎ３時間スムースに到着　受付時に笑顔・優しいお言葉に迎えられてからチェックアウトするまでの滞在時間ずっとゆっくり出来ました　部屋数と比較してお風呂が多くお湯を満喫　特に内湯がお勧めです　露天の出入り口に替えの浴衣・タオルが置いてあるのもいいですね　またお伺いしたいと思います
