We opted to pay extra to eat at the TAPANYAKI BAR, The cook was sick and was not very sanitary while touching his hair and nose and handling a towel and food, I WONT DO THAT AGAIN. My husband is now sick i suspect he got sick there at the dinner.
All was great except you could hear the noise from engines of the pools upstairs through the night.
Magnificent views, gourmet food, excellent service, and rooms. This was the best place I stayed in during my holiday in Japan. The view of Mt Fuji was breathtaking and the hotel was beautiful, all of which will come at a price of course. The service wa
Oichi! A dream made reality. One of the best Ryokans we were during our first travel in Japan
Everything at this hotel was perfect. We didn’t use the baths as we booked a terrace but the bath there was fantastic. Clear view of Mt Fuji and across the lake. Staff here are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Dinner service and breakfast was wonderful, no

Kukuna is probably one of, if not the best hotel I've stayed in. Online it was advertised as a 3-star hotel, but in reality it was much more akin to a 5-star experience. The food, especially dinner was of the highest quality. Our private Onsen was fantasti
We stayed at Kukuna on our last night in Japan before flying home and it was a lovely way to finish off our trip. We made sure we had one of the suites with the private bath and honestly it was like we were on our honeymoon. The views from the balcony of M

Good Hotel, Friendly staff, Good food, Good location. They have a shuttle bus service to bring us to see light up when there is an event.
The hotel may look a little bit kitsch at first sight, but the rooms are great, with breathtaking view on mount Fuji. We picked a room with private onsen on the terrace, which is perfect. Restaurant (5 courses meal with extra buffet) is good.
