We loved the buffet in the morning and this is the second time we have used it. Also, the large open-air bath was very, very comfortable. However, the open-air baths are only on the first floor, so it is a pity that the view of Beppu cannot be seen from the open-air baths. I think the hotel would be even better if there was an open-air bath where you could see the view of Beppu. *The day before, I stayed at *Matsu-san to see the view of Beppu (sea side). If this one also had an open-air bath with a view, I would have stayed here for consecutive nights.

Kaiseiki dinner was served at the 12th floor with panoramic views of the sea & mountains. Breakfast was on the 10th floor with views. However the outdoor hotspring was lukewarm & dirty.

“As expected of Mr. Shirakiku.”
Although a large ryokan within walking distance of Beppu Station, it was a ryokan that inherited good Japanese ryokan culture and service in the modern age, including room guidance and courteous greetings, dinner served in kimono, crisp bedding, thoughtful lounge service, and a large onsen (hot spring) bath. The dinner was especially delicious, with local ingredients served in elegant dishes and flavors, and the buffet breakfast was a delight to choose from, with after-meal coffee and desserts to enjoy. The most impressive thing was the cheerful and joyful manner in which each of the employees conducted themselves, and I got the impression that their ideas were scattered throughout the hotel, which made a very positive impression on me. I would like to stay at this ryokan again in a different season. Thank you very much.
