It is in a good location in front of the station. The hot spring baths on the first floor are open-air baths and the third floor is indoor baths, alternating between men and women every day, and in the case of women, the door opens with a code. I stayed there three times, but I was disappointed that I only used the indoor bath on the 3rd floor every time. I wish they would state which hot springs are for men and women by day of the week or by date on their website. Breakfast is the same every time. When I initially chose bread, it was dry. The morning curry and kabosu juice were good, but I wish they would change the menu from time to time since there are guests staying for consecutive nights. The parking lot is spacious with a second lot nearby, but the entrance is narrow and difficult to park in. I thought it would be good if cones were placed in the space where we parked when we checked in, and if we drove out of the hotel, we could secure a parking space. I thought it would be a good idea. At other hotels, they use cones to secure your parked space. I would like this to be improved.

There are four affiliated hotels near Beppu Station, so you can tour around the hot springs. However, Star has no public baths. The Hayashi is old, unattractive, and no longer in use. The Station has a fixed bathhouse that is not changed between men and women every morning and evening, so I only know about the women's bath, but it is a simple bathhouse with no shoe boxes, a small changing room, and a single bathtub. Therefore, many guests from affiliated hotels come to the Sea Wave bathhouse. Even so, the women's bath is sometimes chartered on weekdays and at certain times of the day. My husband, who has used the men's bath more than 100 times, says he has never been alone there. The men's bath is especially bad on weekends, and you should always expect it to be crowded. Not only did we have to wait our turn to wash, but there were also people who left without using the men's bath after seeing how crowded it was as soon as they entered the large bath. I wish there were special hours for Seawave guests (3pm-25pm, 5-11pm, etc.) instead of the usual 16-24pm and 6-10pm hours. I wish there was a special time slot for Seawave guests from 3 to 25 pm and 5 to 11 pm, etc.

It is a regular inn. I personally think it is the number one in Beppu in terms of cost performance. Parking is free and the onsen tax is included in the room rate, so you only pay the rate indicated when you make a reservation. I think this is quite important. The other day, when I stayed at another hotel for two consecutive nights, I had to pay a parking fee and hot spring tax for each day, which cost me several thousand yen. It is a popular hotel, so you should make reservations early for consecutive holidays and weekends.

“On the Business Strip”
Probably the closest hotel in front of Beppu station. The facilities are well maintained and clean, although they are undeniably aged. The large bathroom was comfortable to enter, and although I was told that other group bathrooms were also available, I regret that I could not extend my legs to them. The level of the hotel is very ordinary, but I think it is sufficient for a business trip.
