A lakefront hotel founded in 1915 of Taisho era (1912-1926). The lone standing building located at the foot of Mt. Eniwadake on the northern shore of Lake Shikotsu. The natural open-air bath is connected to the lake, and it has an interesting characteristic; the bath level is the same level as the lake.

Overlooking Lake Shitkotsu and the mountain from the outdoor onsen is really spectacular. A good experience having to have private dinner in the room instead of the hall

It was my first experience in a Ryokan and this was a good choice. The location is very good and evocative, just on the lakeshore. The room is well furnished and the atmosphere is quite traditional. The dinner was great even if only the water was included
