The resort is all the way up in the hill, and the reception area is a 7-min walk (uphill) from the parking lot, which is something I didn't expect until I was hauling my luggage all the way up.. (they do have shuttle service, and that's written in Japanese..) and I also didn't know that I can't have dinner at the resort (which is quite isolated) without prior reservation until I was told at check-in, so.. that's a real bummer, especially after hauling your luggage in the cold all the way up and all you want is a hot meal. Despite these initial setbacks, the hotel was quite pleasant. Room (we had the most basic version, without private onsen) is large and modern, clean and cozy. Loved staying in the room and had a good night's sleep. Great value for money! Did not try onsen. Breakfast was adequate but service quite slow. All in all, an ok hotel, but would definitely recommend to pay more to get a room with private onsen and all meals included.
