I'm always thinking of the value of any tour. This tour is over $100 USD and goes three different places. The actual ticket to the Ghibli museum is only $10 or so. That right there already makes me a little queazy realizing just how inflated the price was. That being said, the lunch was delicious, and I would never have gone there alone. The museum itself is something of a disappointment. I really wanted to be immersed in the worlds you see in the films. It never really happened. There were special exhibits, but all the captions were in Japanes (but they did have ONE book that needed to be shared among the non-Japanese speakers). Even the gift shop seemed small. The pins were the only things there was representation of most Ghibli films. Otherwise, you left empty handed. In other words, I wanted magic and didn't see any. The exclusive movie at the museum was cool. Perhaps find a company without such a high markup.
