Too little time spent at Fuji 5th station. Needs a toilet break before Fuji - bus station leaving Tokyo was chaos & crowded. Bring a lunch, and go to the free part of the Amuseument Park (Gaspard and Lisa) - cute atmosphere, benches, and a chance to buy food (crepes, snacks, drinks). Hotel restaurant desserts were delicious and fairly priced...drinks were costly. This trip is getting 5 star reviews from me for the second half (walk) with Toshi. He was excellent, interesting and extremely friendly. We got to see a shrine where he explained the traditions, walked (slightly uphill, so one should be in okay physical shape - able to do a set of stairs without wheezing) to a lovely waterfall and also walked to an observation point (Fuji was still cloudy). The part with Toshi was truly great! Plus we were only 4 people on the trip...I hate the hordes of tourists. Then while waiting for the bus to Tokyo, look right...we were lucky that the clouds cleared and Fuji made an appearance.
