1. This bus tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter and visits Kamakura's popular sightseeing spots such as Kotoku-in Temple (Kamakura Daibutsu - Great Buddha), Jomyo-ji Temple, and Hokoku-ji Temple (2019 tour departures) or Hase-dera Temple (2020 tour departures), which are difficult to reach by train; as well as Enoshima.
2. At Kotoku-in Temple, see the Kamakura Daibutsu (Great Buddha), a gigantic Buddha statue that stands approx. 13 meters high and weighs about 121 tons. The only national treasure in Kamakura, the statue of Buddha is a sight to behold not just from the outside, but also from the inside as visitors can enter inside the statue.
3. Enjoy some of Japan's famous powdered matcha green tea and confectionery in the highly refined and tranquil atmosphere of a tearoom in Jomyo-ji Temple, constructed over 400 years ago. Also admire the view of the temple's Japanese rock garden.
4. Enoshima has been visited as a place for temple worship as well as excursions since long ago. Take the Enoshima Escar which will whisk you easily up to Enoshima Shrine. Feel the cool sea breeze as you gaze out on the beautiful sea around Shonan spreading before your eyes.
5. [2019 Departures]
Hokoku-ji Temple, also called the bamboo temple. It is famous for having the most beautiful bamboo grove in Kamakura. Also, don't miss the moss garden's natural beauty.
6. [2020 Departures]
Hase-dera Temple, known as a temple of flowers throughout the year. Called "Kamakura's Western Paradise," this temple is never without flowers through the seasons, and the sight of colorful flowers and trees calms the hearts of visitors.
