5.0 /5 Customer Review

by Ada United States of America   /  03 Dec 2017

With their very friendly English-speaking cooking instructors, who were knowledgeable and always willing to explain the Japanese ingredients used while cooking, the Cooking Sun Izakaya Cooking class depicts the fun side of Japanese food culture. I couldn't believe how simple the recipes were, with most containing only 5-6 ingredients, yet managing to produce such great flavors. For our class, we made Izakaya food originating from the Niigata Prefecture. Most of the ingredients were also from Niigata, as well as some of the cooking equipment used during the class. I particularly like the green beans with sesame dressing, and the peach dessert, they were amazing. I definitely recommend this cooking class. I only wish that there was more stoves and cooking equipment for each person. Since, in our class, there were 5 groups of two, and each needed to work with one stove and set of cookware. It's understandable given the space constraints, but still takes a little away from the experience.
