Good deal when you consider the original 2400 admission. The Dr. Fish is unsupervised: honor system that you go down the hall to grab some towels and a 10-minute timer from the attendant. The fish were extremely hungry and my skin was velvety soft afterwards. 1000 gets a decent meal at the cafeteria (get oyakodon over the tonkatsu-don), or you can use it towards a kaiseki-style meal in the formal restaurant, which is what we did. Excellent food! Lots to do in the complex, though the outdoor baths may be a bit crowded during peak seasons. Don't forget to check out their "rock salt" room, which is just a decent sauna. Check-in wasn't familiar with our Japanican reservation, though, and we had to wait 15 minutes while they called and consulted each other.
