    The “Hill Where the Earth Looks Round” Observatory is located atop Mount Atago, the highest mountain in northern Chiba. From the observation area on the rooftop, visitors can see the roundness of the Earth for themselves.   • G. [Kyonan Town] Nihonji (Nihon Temple)

    The oldest temple established by imperial decree in the Kanto region, built in the Nara period (710-794). 1,553 rakan statues are placed in the unique rock face shaped by the waves, and visitors can immerse themselves in nature along with history and culture. Rituals were once held here by imperial decree to pray for divine protection of the nation and its rulers.

  • J. [Tateyama City] Poppy no Sato, Tateyama Family Park

    In one of the largest displays in the Kanto region, 100,000 poppies bloom here in the springtime. Visitors can also pick seasonal flowers and herbs year-round.
