Beautiful hotel in an enchanting winter landscape, with indoor and outdoor onsens plus an ice bar! The staff were attentive, the food was thoughtfully prepared. We looked forward to dinner and onsen here every evening after being out in the snow all day. Free shuttle is available, but access n the late afternoon/evening is via a 1-hour taxi from Asahikawa JR station. Asahidake ropeway is just 10 minutes walk, even in snow. Lovely experience on Christmas eve from our window, looking at the snow while feeling warm.

Nonno French restaurant is superb!!!! The best cuisine you can have up on Daisetsuzan national park. Onsen is good. Room is cozy. Staffs are nice. And cannot forget the free ramen at 10:30 at night!!! brilliant!!!!

Amazing location, service, food, and rooms. I can’t say enough great things so I will leave it to ppl to go and find out for themselves. Me personally, I absolutely loved it!

The Onsen (hot spring) and location were by far the highlight of our stay. The rooms were fine, but the hotel staff was the least friendly or helpful we encountered anywhere in our two week stay in Japan. They were rather stuck up and so regimented regarding the hotel's many rules. The food was fine - if you are staying more than two nights you'll have the same meal every other night. This was just rather boring, but the food was generally good although my fiance was left hungry. Breakfast is a nice spread. Overall, a wonderful place to stay if you don't mind following rules like at summer camp - dinner at 8, bar does not open until 9 rather than on a vacation where you prefer to make your own schedule.
