My husband and I stayed here 2 nights. We LOVED it. We felt welcomed and comfortable, the staff were so lovely and very helpful and the room was great, with a wonderful view of the village and mountains opposite (and monkeys). We had our truly delicious evening meals (feasts) and breakfasts brought to us in our rooms. And the onsen were good as well - a range of choices, small (but very hot) for a couple, gender-specific baths, and outdoor ones (also gender-specific). So lovely to sit in a hot bath looking at the night sky though the leaves. The hotel is very easy to get to by bus, and it is very easy to get to other parts of the Kii Peninsula by bus from here as well. We spent our 2 days here walking some of the Kumano Kodo - there is a round trip of about 16km which is wonderful. We would happily stay here again.
