Not an upmarket Western Hotel,a proper Japanese Hotel. no exceptions for Western tastes and is all the better for it. My wife and I stayed for one night and loved it. The welcome was very friendly, after we found the hotel,We were shown our room and the etiquette around it. No outdoor shoes on tatami mats, special slippers for the bathroom etc.We were even giving kimonos to wear because that's what's expected of you.The room had excellent views of the bay and a seating area so you could look out at the view. Dinner was traditional Japanese food, extensive and off very good quality, served at a low table in your room.A fantastic range of new tastes. After dinner, the table is moved against the wall and the beds are made up on the floor. Slept very well.Breakfast was served in the dining room and was again traditional Japanese food and extensive. So many items to eat.ThisThanks to all at the hotel.
