It was must on our list of things to do for our trip to stay at least 1 night at a ryokan so we could get a true Japan experience. Our stay was for only 1 night & it was everything & more than what I expected. The building itself is just over 100 years old & is in great shape, it's stunning. We stayed in one of the larger rooms that had access to a private garden. I believe we checked in between 3-4 so we had several hours before dinner to just sit & relax and enjoy each other. Dinner was really nice, it was an experience like none other as it's served in your room course by course. The only downfall was I wasn't a big fan of the meals and I knew that going in but I wanted to try as much as I could even if it wasn't for me. Then the shower & bath. I wish I could do that every morning & evening. It was so refreshing and relaxing. We had a quiet, beautiful, relaxing evening & the service was out of this world.
