The hotel is a well-presented Western-style facility, well-located, within 3 bus stops or 1 metro station of central Kyoto JR station. Our room was big (almost "huge" by local standards), with old furniture but clean (despite some small spots on the wallpaper). Though street-side, it was really silent. Bathroom was also very nice and big; a free water bottle was supplied every day. Staff was generally very friendly and helpful, although speaking very little English. The hotel offered many little services helpful to visitors, eg sale of bus tickets(500yen) and umbrellas(200yen only). There's a computer for internet access in the lobby. The restaurant offered all 3 meals, though reservation is needed for kaiseiki-style dinner. Breakfast is offered in Japanese and Western-style, and was really delicious and full-filling to start a long visiting day.
