This suspension bridge is a symbol of Sumatakyo Gorge.
Spanning 90 meters long and 8 meters high over the emerald green waters of the reservoir, this suspension bridge will give you a thrill especially when you cross paths with other pedestrians!

- Hiryubashi
A small forest railway train carrying logs cut in the forest used to run through this bridge.

This 3 km path runs from the gorge entrance winding through the hot spring district.
With few slopes, a rest area and small bridge along the way, the path is perfect for spending time with nature walking in the forest.

From Tokyo: Take a JR Tokaido Shinkansen train to Shizuoka Station (90 min). From there, take a JR Tokaido Main Line train to Kanaya Station (30 min).
From Shizuoka: Take a JR Tokaido Main Line train to Kanaya Station (30 min).
From Nagoya: Take a JR Tokaido Shinkansen train to Kakegawa Station (60 min). From there, take a JR Tokaido Main Line train to Kanaya Station (15 min).
From Osaka: At Shin-Osaka Station, take a JR Tokaido Shinkansen train to Hamamatsu Station (80 min). From there, take a JR Tokaido Main Line train to Kanaya Station (40 min).
From Kanaya Station (JR Tokaido Line): Take an Oigawa Railway train bound for Senzu and get off at Senzu Station (about 70 minutes). Then take a Sumatakyo route bus bound for Sumatakyo Onsen and get off at the Sumatakyo Onsen bus stop (about 40 min). Immediate access from there.
By car: Exit the Tomei Expressway at Shizuoka IC and continue along National Route 362 for about 60 minutes (40 km), then Prefectural Route 77 for about 30 min (16 km).
