The place and hotel are very nice. The service is very good. You can speak english at the reception but you'd better speak a bit of japanese. The room was very cosy with a nice view on the mountains. The food was excellent and the suggested nihonshu was very good. The bath is pleasant but could have had a better view. I asked for a bento to go hiking the next day: it was very good and not very expensive. They did not provide information on how to reach the place: you've got to check the train and bus by yourself when preparing your trip, mostly in japanese, but they provide much information for visits and hiking once there. The overall experience was very pleasant.
