4.7/5 BEST REVIEW

by andy Singapore / 10 Jun 2016

We visited as a family of 4 with 2 small children, ages 4 and 7. The hosts took extra care to bring in a staff who could speak English as we were foreign which we found to have above and beyond what was to be expected. This turned out brilliantly as we had a fantastic stay at the Ryokan! The food at this particular ryokan is noteworthy, it features traditional Japanese cooking which is not available outside Japan. The hosts gave us tips that only locals knew. Information is not easily available for foreigners but the Izu Peninsular has so much to offer! It really a national treasure! I'll come back back anyway!

This Meiji Era farmhouse enjoys a favorable reputation due to its abundantly flowing hot spring, and Okaribayaki (grilled meat and vegetables) cooked on an old-fashioned irori hearth.
