The staff are wonderful, food amazing and the place has a fantastic air or serenity and privacy creating a very peaceful stay. It is a ryokan built in the traditional Sukiya style, an architectural form based on constructing rooms used for the tea ceremony. This hotel serves authentic Kyoto-style Japanese kaiseki dishes.
