A very interesting small hotel, that bills itself - correctly - as an "antiques hotel", with all kinds of older furniture and decor. Example: The "workspace" desk in my room was an old wooden multi-tiered contraption - very unusual but also very functional. Overall, the room was very comfortable, and the small porch with a sea view was a nice touch. The location is quiet, on a hill overlooking the sea, and the hotel has a nice ofuro, probably not a true hot spring but pleasant nonetheless. The meals were well-prepared and hearty. The proprietors' English-language ability is very good, and they were attentive to guests' needs. The hotel is a short taxi ride from Awa-Kamogawa station, although I believe the owner would pick guests up if called, because the hotel provided a free shuttle back to the station after check-out..
