The facility is a bit older, but that doesn't take away from its charm. The service was outstanding, as you would expect. We were greeted when I pulled-up in my car and our every need was attended to from that point onward. The food was fantastic - fresh seafood was the best; excellent sashimi and crab the first night, a different take on the crab with smoked fish and eel the second night. The buffet breakfast is quite well done with both Japanese and Western offerings. The staff alternated the bath locations (male/female) on different days. On the first night the bath was fine (annex bldg), but nothing really exciting - just one big room with a soaking tub in the center. On the morning we checked out, the male bath was switched to the facility in the basement of the main building, which was much more impressive, including an outdoor soak tub overlooking a serene wooded area. It was the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate before the long drive I had ahead of me to get back to Kanagawa.
