Shintakayu Onsen Azumaya Ryokan新高湯温泉 五つの絶景露天風呂吾妻屋旅館

3934 Yunoirisawa, Seki, Yonezawa-shi, Yamagata Prefecture

by allakefak Japan / 11 Aug 2016

Shintakayu is a wonderful onsen in the hills above Yonezawa. The final approach is up a gravel road and then you see the beautiful building and onsen baths spread around the property. There is a bath next to a waterfall and a few with a view out of the valley and out to mountains. A couple of the baths are in hollowed out logs. The food and people there were great. Highly recommended.
