Amazing service; the staff is very accommodating, and even though their English is basic, it gets the job done and they do their utmost to help regardless. Breakfast (missed dinner) is buffet-style and has lots of variety that tastes great. The Japanese-style room is very comfortable, but admittedly worn and old. In the beginning of December, the place isn’t very busy so we were alone most of the time in the public onsens. Definitely check out all the different onsens they have, especially in the morning when the sunlight illuminates the beautiful and relaxing natural scenery of the mountains. Afterwards, the lounge with free snacks and drinks is a great place to chat with people, read a book, or simply relax. When leaving, the free shuttle bus back to Sendai Station takes less than an hour. If arriving very late, call ahead and they’ll arrange a pick-up at the local train station (Sakunami on the JR line, 45min from Sendai Station). We would definitely stay here again.
