This hotel isn't a luxury experience, but the staff is very helpful and the food is good. The included set meal for dinner is mostly seafood which is in keeping with the town. Quality of food is very good. The breakfast buffet is extensive. Staffing at this hotel is minimal compared to other places in Japan, but we had everything we needed and everyone was very kind. There is NO English support at all. Only one person at the front desk spoke some English and she was helpful and kind. Our room was huge with a beautiful view. The futons are thin though, so we had to double them up. The bathroom was nice. There aren't many choices of hotels in this city and they all looked about the same and this one is acceptable if you are fairly adventurous.
