Fukuzumiro, well-loved by authors and artists, is a traditional estate stretching far back from the main entrance and street, creating a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. Located close to Hakone Yumoto Station, it features natural hot spring baths supplied with water right from the source which are open 24 hours a day. This classical Japanese-style ryokan is a registered tangible cultural property as designated by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs. In the interest of preserving the building, the 18 guest rooms are not equipped with bathing facilities or toilets to avoid water damage.

This is a lovely ryokan in a beautiful setting. Great service, enjoyable onsen baths, and the food was really exquisite. Highly recommend if you're visiting the Hakone area. We actually went out of our way to visit it, because of a friend's recommendation.

Traditional and in a nice way old-fashioned ryokan. Impressive old Building. Japanese Dinner (and Western style breakfast) good. The hot baths need urgently renovation-there is quite a lot of mold and mildew. And by the way, no access to open air.

Great location! Walking distance from Hokone station and right next to Tozan stop. Service was great, only bummed the Karaoke was closed the night we were there. Also the Onsen was SUPER hot...almost too hot. Otherwise great location and had a lot of fun!
