Ryokan Mebaeso

Yufuin Ryokuyu

Seiryu to Hotaru no Yado Takaoso
This hot spring inn exudes a traditional atmosphere that seems to remain unchanged from long ago. Enjoy soaking in an open-air bath and indoor cypress bath, which are reservable for private use. How to get there?
By train: Take the JR Kyudai Main Line and get off at Yunohira Station.
By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Yufuin IC, take National Route 210 and turn right at the first traffic light. Head straight towards the Oita/Shonai area for about 9 km, and then turn right onto Prefectural Route 537.
There is a tunnel of red iron poles about 700 m prior to Takaoso. After passing through, continue straight for a short while.
(*Navigation systems may instruct you to turn right at the area with a blue vending machine and a lantern with Hashimoto Iriguchi written on it, however do not follow those instructions and keep going straight)
While looking at Takaoso on the right, do not enter the stone-paved street but instead turn right at the small bridge in front of it.
After crossing the bridge, you will be able to see the Kaneko Shoten souvenir shop on the left. After passing it, turn right.
Proceed along the narrow road with the "Hashimoto Onsen" public bath on the left and Takaoso will be at the end.

Alternatively, about 5 min by taxi from Yufuin Station at around JPY 640. *For those on the expressway bus coming from Nagasaki, please get off at Yufuin IC. 5 min by taxi from there (no route buses passing there).
By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Yufuin IC and continue along Prefectural Route 216. Turn left at the intersection after the Yufuin police station and you will immediately see the hotel.
Yufuin Wazanho
A small inn of 12 guestrooms that nestles in the woods, secluded from the center of Yufuin. All guestrooms feature an open-air bath and an indoor bath.

By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Yufuin IC and continue along Prefectural Route 617 heading towards Tsukahara Kogen. At the Yufuin intersection, head towards the Tsukahara Kogen area. After 2-3 min, there will be a large parking lot and an Herb Garden signboard on the right side.
Yufuin Hanayoshi
This inn offers a stunning view of Yufuin. The gorgeous scenery, especially when accented by the morning fog, will take guests breath away as they relax in the inn's spa.
