How to get there?
From Fukuoka Airport: Take a Line 1 (Kuko Line) train bound for Meinohama to Hakata Station (10 min). Then take a JR Kagoshima Main Line train bound for either Kagoshima or Nagasaki to Tosu Station (20 min). It is about 20 min on foot or about 5 min by taxi from there.

By car: Exit the Kyushu Expressway at Tosu IC and continue along National Route 3 for 10 min, then along Prefectural Route 329 for about 2 min. Landmark: Jomo Gas Station.

From Tosu Station: About 1 min on foot.
By car: From the Tosu IC on Kyushu Expressway, take Route 34 bound for Saga about 2 km. Go left at the Motomachi intersection and proceed for about 1 km. The hotel will be to the right just outside JR Tosu Station.

From Saga Station (JR Nagasaki Line), Bus Center Exit: Take a Showa Bus bound for Furuyu/Kitayama to the Amagobashi bus stop (about 45 min). It is about 5 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Nagasaki Expressway at Saga Yamato IC and continue along Route 263 for about 5 min (4 km), then Route 323 for about 10 min (8 km).
Ryokan Akebono
Established in 1889, this ryokan, while located in the heart of the city, is kept quiet and peaceful by the surrounding bamboo hedge. Ryokan Akebono, which is associated with famous Meiji Era painter Shigeru Aoki, serves local cuisine on locally-produced ceramic dishes.

From Saga Airport: Take a bus bound for Saga Station to the Kencho-mae bus stop (20 min). It is about 3 min on foot from there.
Kakureisen
With its rare, naturally flowing hot springs in a sand bath, it's no wonder Kakureisen is a favorite place to stay for many distinguished guests and modern day writers. Saito Mokichi, a popular poet in the Taisho Era, especially loved the bath here.

From Fukuoka Airport: 60 min by taxi or 80 min by bus.
From Saga Station (Nagasaki Line): 30 min by taxi.
By bus: Take the bus bound for Furuyu Onsen and get off the Furuyu Onsen bus stop.
By car: Exit the Nagasaki Expressway at Yamato IC and continue along Route 323. About 15 min from the IC.
Furuyu Onsen Ogiya

By car: Exit the Nagasaki Expressway at the Saga-Yamato IC and continue along Route 263. Cross the bridge and continue for about 7 min (6 km), then proceed along Route 323 for about 8 min (6 km) heading towards Furuyu Onsen hot spring resort.
