Yumoto Hotel (Shimobe)
This quiet hotel is located along the Shimobe river gorge. Kyoshi Takahama, a famous Haiku poet in the Showa era, often stayed at this hotel. At the entrance, guests can find a slab with a haiku poem that Kyoshi Takahama himself wrote. The hotel is proud to have a gushing hot spring source that features excellent antibacterial properties in all of Shimobe Onsen.
How to get there?
From Shimobe Onsen Station (JR Minobu Line): about 15 minutes on foot or about 3 minutes by taxi.
By car: Exit the Chuo Expressway at Kawaguchiko IC and continue along Route 139 for about 60 minutes heading towards Shimobe Onsen Hospital and Shimobe Onsen Station.
Shimobe Hotel
The Shimobe Hotel is nestled deep in a natural Japanese Red Pine forest. Guests are welcomed with a warm and relaxing atmosphere and two types of hot springs - a simple sulfur spring and the Shimobe Oku-no-Yu high-temperature spring.
How to get there?
From Kofu Station (JR Chuo Line): Take the JR Minobu Line bound for Fuji and get off at Shimobe-onsen Station. Immediate access from there.
By car: Exit the Chuo Expressway at Kofu-minami IC and continue along National Route 140 for about 20 km (about 25 min), then cross over the Shin Fujikawa-bashi Bridge. Then continue along Route 52 for about 25 km (about 35 min). Turn left at the Kamizawa intersection, cross the Tomiyama-bashi Bridge and continue for about 5 min.
Tanakaya Ryokan
Tables and chairs are available at the dining room.
Slippers are unnecessary throughout the building (yutabi socks are available).
Free shuttle service to Minobu-san Kuon-ji Temple.
There are no elevators throughout the hotel building.

From JR Chuo Line Kofu Station: take JR Minobu Line express train bound for Shizuoka, From Minobu Station: 15 mins by Sanko Town Coach bound for Minobu-san, From Minobu-san bus stop: 2 mins on foot
Hotel Morita
The healthy baths - which have been adjusted so that the source waters, which work wonders on the body, are elevated even higher - and scenic view open air baths are quite popular. The private baths are also well received, so guests can thoroughly enjoy the hot springs.
How to get there?
By car: Exit the Chuo Expressway from the Kofu-minami IC and take Route 52 for about 50 min (about 34 km).
From Kofu Station (JR Chuo Main Line): Take the Minobu Line to Shimobe-onsen Station, and it is about 18 min on foot from there or about 3 min by taxi.
