Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku
A ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) standing by the uppermost stream of Tone River, surrounded by nature. This secluded hot spring resort has a wide variety of gorgeous outdoor baths, some of which can be used by both men and women. A long time ago, the area was well known for the baby bears that would come and bathe in its waters.

Guests travelling by bus from Jomo Kogen Station (Joetsu Shinkansen):
From Jomo Kogen Station take a bus bound for Minakami Station. Get off at Minakami Station, which is the last stop (about 20 min, JPY 620 fare). From Minakami Station take a bus bound for Yunokoya and get off at the Takaragawa Iriguchi bus stop (about 30 min, JPY 1,150 fare). Please use the hotel's shuttle service from there.

Okutone Onsen Hotel Sunbird

From Minakami Station (JR Jo-etsu Line): Take the bus bound for Yu-no-Koya and get off at Fujiwara Ski-jo Bus Stop (about 40 minutes). About another 7 minutes on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Minakami IC and continue along Route 291, then Prefectural Route 63 (Minakami Katashina Road) for about 35 minutes (about 20 km).
Gensen Yunoyado Sennotani
Look forward to a delicious buffet meal with sumptuous sushi, tempura, and a wide array of dishes prepared using farm-grown vegetables and other ingredients.
How to get there?
From Jomo-Kogen Station (JR Joetsu Shinkansen): take the bus bound for Sarugakyo and alight at Sakasazakura bus stop (approx. 20 min). About 3 min on foot from there.
By car: about 20 min (15 km) from Kan-etsu Expressway Tsukiyono IC via Route 17.
Shisuitei
There are many tales that have been passed down in the Oigami Onsen hot spring village. This ryokan (Japanese-style hotel) is based on those tales, with both a futuristic and a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Enjoy monthly semi-kaiseki cuisine made with local seasonal ingredients.
How to get there?
From Numata Station (JR Jo-etsu Line): Board a bus bound for Oigami Onsen and get off at the Oigami Onsen bus stop (about 50 min). It is about 3 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Numata IC and continue along National Route 120, then turn right at Obara intersection and continue for about 17 km (about 20 min). Then, take the prefectural route for about 1 km (about 2 min). Head towards Oigami Onsen signs.
Ginshotei Awashima
Our Japanese style hotel is at the gateway to Oze and Nikko, on the rise of Oigami Onsen hot spring resort, surrounded by trees. You can enjoy the many facilities. The open-air bath and meals are especially popular.

Sarugakyo Hotel
This hotel features a large cypress bath and separate open-air baths for men and women. Guests can enjoy traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine with homemade tofu dishes.
How to get there?
From Jomo-Kogen Station (JR Jo-etsu Shinkansen): Take the bus to Sarugakyo (about 35 minutes). About 10 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Tsukiyono IC and continue along Route 17 for about 25 minutes (16 km).
Tatsumikan
Our peaceful ryokan (Japanese-style hotel ) with hot spring follows the Tonegawa River and you can see Mt. Tanigawadake in the distance. In addition to a bath with a large wall-painting by Yamashita Kiyoshi (a famous Japanese painter) and an open-air bath; our food, eaten by the fire, is also famous.

Minakamikan
This is a modern-style ryokan (Japanese-style inn) with a bright and refreshing atmosphere. Inside its premises, guests can relax and enjoy over 500 pieces of artwork, records of writers and artists, as well as seasonal flowers decorated throughout the inn. Rooms come prepared with English pamphlets and hotel guides. Food requests can be made if ordered in advance. For guests traveling in groups, an English speaking attendant will be assigned to take care of all requests from arrival to departure.

Yutorian

Minakami Hotel Juraku
Located in the center of the hot spring town. From here, the limpid streams in Okutone and Mt. Tanigawadake can be seen. You can fully appreciate the beauty of the nature and the characteristics of the seasons here in Japan.

From Minakami Station (JR Joetsu Line): 10 min on foot, pick-up service available (12:00-16:20).
By car: 3 km from Kan-Etsu Expressway Minakami IC.
Bettei Senjuan
Located at the Tanigawa Valley at the foot of Mt. Tanigawa. The hotel features a unique atmosphere with modern design and architecture while preserving traditional Japanese techniques throughout. All rooms have an open-air bath. Wi-Fi connection available in all rooms.

From Minakami Station (JR Joetsu Line): about 10 min by taxi at around JPY 1,000 (as of July 2010).
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Minakami IC and continue along Route 291. Landmark: Tanigawa Onsen.
Keisetsu no Yado Shobun
New private guest residences were added in November 2014. Enjoy a choice of rooms and country cuisine.

From Minakami Station (JR Joetsu Line): About 15 min by bus.

By car: About 15 min from Kanetsu Expressway Minakami IC. Take Route 291 north towards Fujiwara/Yunokoya (Prefectural Route 61). Located before the Okutone Ski area.
Kurayashiki
This charming ryokan located in quiet surroundings caters to only a small group of people at a time. Guests can relax and enjoy the natural spring waters, said to help beautify skin, and the delicious food prepared from local ingredients.

From Jomo-Kogen Station (JR Joetsu Shinkansen): Take the Kanetsu Kotsu Bus bound for Sarugakyo Onsen and get off at Sekisho-ato Bus Stop (approx. 30 min). About 3 min on foot from there.
Yuzu-no-Yado Honden
This inn has a homely feel that offers guests a fully relaxing experience. Miso soup is served at breakfast made using home-made miso.
How to get there?
From Jomo-Kogen Station (JR Jo-etsu Shinkansen): About 20 minutes by taxi.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Tsukiyono IC and continue along Route 17 for about 20 minutes (15 km).
Chalet la Neige
Located in the heart of the forest, Chalet La Neige is surrounded by wilderness. Guests can enjoy summertime fun like rafting, canoeing, and paragliding. In winter, there's no better place for skiers, as the inn is located just by the slopes.
How to get there?
From Minakami Station (JR Joetsu Line): Take the bus to Kubo (Summer) or Hodaigi Ski-jo (Winter). The trip takes about 30 minutes. A shuttle service is available to the Hodaigi Ski Resort (reservation required).
By car: 30 minutes from the Kanetsu Expressway Minakami IC .
Yumoto Chouseikan
The hotel has open-air baths located amongst a forest of cedar trees a short distance away from the hotel's facilities. The baths are the original open-air onsen style and provide a great view of the Tanigawa mountain range and Akadani River. From Jomo-Kogen Station (JR Joetsu Shinkansen): Take the Kanetsu Kotsu Bus bound for Sarugakyo Onsen and get off at Sarugakyo Onsen Bus Stop (approx. 30 min). About 5 min on foot from there.
Kinseikan Seseragi

From Minakami Station (JR Jo-etsu Line): About 45 min on foot or 7 min by taxi.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Minakami IC and continue along National Route 291 for about 4 km (about 9 min), then Prefectural Route 252 for about 2 km (about 4 min). Take a sharp left at the Tanigawa traffic lights along Route 291.
Senkyou

Minakami Sansou
This inn boasts open-air baths using 100% natural spring water constantly-flowing direct from the source and a magnificent view of Mt. Tanigawa. Guests can choose from Western or Japanese dishes.
How to get there?
From Minakami Station (JR Jo-etsu Line): About 10 minutes by taxi.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Minakami IC and continue along National Route 291 for about 10 minutes (5 km), then Prefectural Route 252 (Tanigawa Line) for about 5 minutes (2 km).
Onsen Theme Park Ryuudou
On site are 18 kinds of open-air baths and 4 indoor baths, all available for private use! There's no limit to reservations and time of use. Additional charges apply. Meals are served in the comfort of the guest room. Those who love hot spring hopping will enjoy collecting stamps from each of the baths.
How to get there?
By car: Take the Kan-etsu Expressway heading towards Niigata. Exit at Minakami IC and continue along National Route 291 heading towards Tanigawadake. Turn right at Prefectural Route 63 heading towards Yunokoya.
From Jomo-Kogen Station (JR Joetsu Shinkansen): Take the bus bound for Minakami for about 30 min, then transfer to a bus bound for Yunokawa (approx. 40 min).
Uedaya Ryokan
Located in the middle of a hot springs town, this inn puts guests at ease with its straight-from-the-source hot spring baths and country-style "slow food" made from local ingredients.
How to get there?
From Numata Station (JR Jo-etsu Line): Take the bus bound for Kamata and get off at Oigami Onsen (about 50 minutes). It takes about 3 minutes on foot from there. Alternatively, about 40 minutes by taxi.
By car: Exit the Kan-etsu Expressway at Numata IC and continue along Route 120 for about 30 minutes (20 km). Follow hot spring signs.
