How to get there?
From Okayama Airport: About 1 hr 15 min by car via the Okayama Expressway (toll road).
From JR Chugoku-Katsuyama Station: Take a Maniwa community bus bound for Hiruzen to the Yubara Shikyoku bus stop (about 30 min). It is just few min on foot from there.
Yubara Kokusai Kanko Hotel Kikunoyu
Only 3 minutes on foot from the "Sunayu" open-air bath, which is regarded as the yokozuna (Japanese wrestling sumo champion) ranked onsen (hot springs) of the western part of Japan. Located in an hot spring village, this hotel has a beautiful view from both guestrooms and its open-air baths. Their delicious dishes are mainly cooked with local ingredients.
How to get there?
From JR Okayama Station: Take a Chutetsu Bus bound for Yubara Kogen to Yubara Onsen (150 min), and it is about 5 min on foot from there
Yubara no Yado Komeya
This authentic Japanese inn with eye-catching white walls, lattice windows, and namako walls (black and white walls with a slanted lattice pattern) is located on Japan’s Romantic Road. It recalls the atmosphere of a shukuba, or post station for travelers during the Edo period.
How to get there?
From JR Okayama Station, Front Exit: Take a Chutetsu bus bound for Yubara Onsen/Hiruzen Kogen and get off at Yubara Onsen (150 min). It is 10 min on foot from there.
Mori-no-hotel Rochefort
All 20 cottages and the Shimoyubara Onsen large communal bath were reopened after remodeling on Feb. 26! This resort hotel is surrounded by nature, situated close to Daisen-Oki National Park and Hiruzen Highland.
How to get there?
From Chugoku-Katsuyama Station (JR Kishin Line): Take the bus bound for Yubara Onsen and get off at Yubara Onsen Station (about 20 minutes). About 10 minutes by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Yonago Expressway at Yubara IC and continue along Prefectural Route 56 for about 5 minutes (3 km).
Genroku Hatago Aburaya
This Ryokan (Japanese inn) has the oldest heritage in Yubara Onsen. All guestrooms are located next to the clear streams of Asahi River and come with hot spring baths, a perfect setting for a morning bath. Treat yourself to the wonderful hot springs of Yubara.
How to get there?
By car: Exit the Yonago Expressway at the Yubara IC and continue on Route 313 for about 10 minutes (about 4 km).

From Okayama Airport: About 60 minutes by taxi (Approx. JPY 30,000)

From Chugoku-Katsuyama Station (JR Himeji Line): About 30 minutes by taxi (Approx. JPY 5,500) or take the Community Bus bound for Yubara / Hiruzen Kogen and alight at Yubara Onsen Bus Stop (about 34 minutes). The hotel is about 5 minutes on foot from there.

From Okayama Station (JR Sanyo Main Line), Exit 13: Take the Chutetsu bus bound for Yubaya, Katsuyama or Hiruzen. After about 109 minutes, alight at Chugoku-Katsuma. Take the Community Bus bound for Yubara / Hiruzen Kogen and alight at Yubara Onsen Bus Stop (about 34 minutes). The hotel is about 5 minutes on foot from there.
Okayama Hiruzen Christmas Cottage
The rental villas here are log houses designed in Finnish style. Guests can bring in ingredients, cook their own food and enjoy a party. On site is a roofed deck especially used for having a barbecue. Guests can bring along their pet dogs.
How to get there?
From Okayama Airport: about 90 min by car.
From Ebi Station (JR Hakubi Line): about 30 min by taxi at around JPY 6,000 (as of Sept. 2010).
By car: Exit the Yonago Expressway at Hiruzen IC and continue along National Route 482 and Prefectural Route 114 for about 5 min. Turn right by the yakisoba shop before Hiruzen Kogen center.
