This ryokan offers plans without dinner, but asks guests to be aware that because of its remote location deep in the mountains, there are no restaurants in the surrounding area. There is a Japanese/Western-style guestroom with an open-air bath where guests can enjoy the sweeping view of autumn leaves all to themselves and a wooden deck where guests can relax during warm seasons. This room has an open-air bath from which guests can look out on the Kiyotaki River, and from early June to early July, guests can enjoy seeing Japanese fireflies from their rooms and the open-air baths. After the hotel lights go out, enjoy watching the fireflies wondrously flying about

Heading into the entrance facing Yasaka-dori, the 2-story tall atrium stretches almost 6 meters from the first basement floor. There, guests can sit comfortably on the sofa bathed in sunlight streaming in from the large front window and check in while they enjoy some tea from the well-established Japanese tea shop ‘Ippodo.’

On the first basement floor, there is ‘Yasaka Endo,’ a famous tempura restaurant that has been loved in the Gion area for many years. The restaurant features an interior that harmonizes sukiya-style and modern architecture. There is large and small table seating partitioned by Kyoto-style lattice, relaxing semi-private rooms, and 2 counter areas near the kitchen.
Breakfast features the theme of a Kyoto morning. It will be a Japanese/Western-style buffet prepared with Kyoto vegetables, Kyoto beef, and local, in-season ingredients. The menu features a Kyoto beef tempura burger. In addition to that, guests are served Japanese-style omelets and 2 varieties of piping hot vegetable tempura, all prepared right before your eyes.
For dinner guests can enjoy a course menu such as a tempura kaiseki course meal, a sushi kaiseki course meal, and more.

Guestrooms are primarily Twin Rooms. Rooms are designed to let in natural light during the day, and at night, they give off a relaxed atmosphere from the indirect and pendant lighting. Shoes are taken off at the entrance so that guests may relax comfortably in their guestroom.
