Tsuwano Onsenjuku Wataya
The only traditional Japanese-style inn with natural hot springs in Tsuwano. This castle-like, five-story hotel is located in the center of town, making it a convenient hub for sightseeing. From Shin-Yamaguchi Station (JR Shinkansen): Take a JR Yamaguchi Line train bound for Masuda to Tsuwano Station. It is about 8 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Chugoku Expressway at Muikaichi IC and continue along Route 9 via Route 187 for about 60 min (60 km). (Route from Osaka / Hiroshima)

Norenyado Meigetsu
One of the oldest Norenyado (inn preserving traditional culture across generations) in Tsuwano, featuring an authentic 2-story, wooden Japanese house. The cypress bath and guest rooms decorated with handmade Japanese paper are particularly popular among guests. Furthermore, guests can enjoy local seasonal dishes and Noren dishes (traditional recipes).
How to get there?
From Iwami Airport: Take a Hagi route bus or Iwami Airport route bus to JR Masuda Station. From Masuda Station, take the JR Yamaguchi Line to JR Tsuwano Station. It is about 7 min on foot, or 3 min by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Chugoku Expressway at Muikaichi IC and continue along Route 187, then 9 for about 40 min (32 km).
