Totsukawa Onsen Hotel Subaru
Enjoy a resort-like experience while winding down in the midst of abundant nature here in "Subaru," where the murmuring of the river can be heard as it flows through the mountains. The hotel features hot springs with water drawn directly from the source.
The World Heritage Site Kohechi (pilgrimage route), and the Hatenashi Village still preserve the atmosphere as it was back in the olden days (10 minutes from the hotel by car).
How to get there?
From Yamato-Yagi Station (Kintetsu Osaka Line, Kajiwara Line): Take a Nara-Kotsu bus bound for Shingu Station and get off at the Hotel-Subaru bus stop (275 min). It is about 1 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Nishi-Meihan Expressway at Kashiwara IC and continue on Routes 165, 24, and 168 for about 80 km (about 120 min).
Minshuku Kawarabiso
Located on the foothill of Mt. Obakodake on the World Heritage site Kohechi, the minshuku (travelers' guesthouse) is a convenient base to visit Mt. Koya or Tateriko Shrine.
How to get there?
From Koyasan Statino (Nankai Koya Line): 30 minutes by taxi. Or, take a Nankai Rinkan Bus bound for Tateri and get off at Nosegwa Murayakuba bus stop. Board a bus bound for Yumitehara for 30 minutes.
By Car: Take the Koya-Ryujin Skyline and Route 371. Turn left at the restaurant Tsuruhime, and then turn right at Kawarabigawa and continue along 2 km.
