The inn focuses on providing personal, sincere hospitality, offering only 11 guest rooms in all to achieve a more intimate atmosphere. Its rooms -- each with a character of its own -- are crafted from natural materials to create a decidedly Japanese space, and the rooms' serene lighting was arranged by a celebrated designer using indirect light to convey a sense of peace and calm.

Sanyoan also boasts tantalizingly fresh and Michelin-recognized Japanese cuisine made with seasonal, local ingredients and healing natural hot spas and aromatherapies that delight the five senses. The area's unique hot spring is a particular draw as it bubbles forth from beneath a marsh rich in organic material.
