Hotel New Katsura
This hotel is just five minutes by car from Ryotsu's port, located on the highlands of Shiizaki Onsen. Many of the hotel's guest rooms overlook the port or the nearby shores of Lake Kamo, regarded as one of Japan's 100 most famous views. The Hotel Aoki
As located on the hill of the Kamo lakeside, all rooms have the scenic view of the lake and the Osado Mountain Range. As old tradition says that our onsen (hot springs) was used for healing Toki (Japanese crested ibis), it is beneficial for your skin.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu Port (Sado Steam Ship): Take the southbound bus to Shiisaki Onsen Bus Stop. About 5 min on foot from there.
Sado Green Hotel Kiraku
The hotel is located on the hill of Shiizaki Park and proud of its magnificent view from all rooms. The large communal bath with panoramic view on the third floor, and open-air bath and chartered open-air bath situated in the outside of the main building are very popular. The foot bath facility, "shio-no-yu", was newly opened.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu Port (Sado Steam Ship): Take the bus bound for Mano and get off at Shiisaki Onsen-mae Bus Stop (approx. 7 min). About 1 min on foot from there.
Sado Kamoko Onsen Oyado Kagetsu
This onsen ryokan (traditional Japanese inn with hot springs) is located along the bank of Lake Kamo, and is 5 minutes from Ryotsu Ferry Port by car. It is also close to the downtown area. Enjoy specialty seafood dishes featuring delicacies caught in the Sea of Japan.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu-ko Port (Sado Steam Ship): About 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by taxi.
By car: From Sado Steam Ship Ryotsu-ko Port, take Route 350 for about 5 minutes (1 km).
Osado Onsen Hotel Osado
This hotel stands on a cliff at Kasuga Cape, a Quasi-National Park. In the evening guests enjoy superb views from the open-air bath of the fisherman's fires and the sun setting over the Sea of Japan.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu Port (high-speed ferry / jet hydrofoil): Take the bus bound for Aikawa and get off at Sado-shi Aikawa Shisho Bus Stop (about 60 minutes). About 20 minutes on foot, or 10 minutes by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Hokuriku Expressway at Niigata-nishi IC and continue along Route 8 for about 40 minutes (13 km). Head towards the Sado Kisen Noriba (wharf).
Yoshidaya (Sado Kamoko Onsen)
This hotel features an open-air hot spring bath filled with 100% natural hot spring water on the roof overlooking the surrounding scenery of the ocean, lake, mountains, and sky. How to get there?
From Niigata Station (JR Joetsu Shinkansen), West Central Exit: Take a bus bound for Sado Steamship Company (Sado Kisen) and get off at the Sado Kisen bus stop. Take a ferry from the port to Ryotsu Port. It is about 10 min from the port on foot. The below shuttle service from the port is also available.

Hotel Yahatakan

From JR Niigata Station Bandai Exit: Take the bus to Sado Kisen Bus Stop (about 15 minutes). Then take the ship to Sado Ryotsu-ko Port (about 60 minutes). Take the bus bound for Sawada and get off at Yahata Onsen (about 60 minutes). About 2 minutes on foot from there.
By car: From Sado Ryotsu-ko Port, take Route 350 for about 30 minutes (17 km). Turn left at Sado Museum.
Ryotsu Yamaki Hotel
Located on the highland, our hotel offers excellent views of Ryotsu Bay and Lake Kamo below your room. The spring waters components include boric acid which is effective in treating various diseases including eye disease.

From Ryotsu Port: 8 mins by car / 10 mins by bus bound for Aikawa, 1 min on foot from Akitsu-Higashi stop
Hotel Mancho

How to get there?
From Ryotsu Port (Sado Steam Ship): Take the Niigata Kotsu Sado Honsen Route bus bound for Aikawa and get off at Aikawa Orito (about 60 minutes). Immediate access from there.
By car: From Ryotsuko IC, take Route 350 for about 35 minutes (20 km), then Prefectural Route 31 Aikawa / Sawata Route for about 10 minutes (6 km).
Hotel Shiiya

By car: From Ryotsu-ko Port, take Route 350 for about 5 minutes (3 km). Turn left at Tojobashi.
Kanazawaya Ryokan
This hotel provides accommodations for guests arriving on the final flight of the day and the facilities are also convenient for those leaving on the first flight in the morning. This lakeside inn boasts an historical presence within the region.

Sado Resort Hotel Azuma
The hotel is located in a quasi-national park on the picturesque Aikawa Nanaura coast. The is also a 230 square meter grass park, beach walkway, sunsets into the Japan Sea, open-air baths, and popular seafood dishes.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu Port: Take a Niigata Kotsu main line bus towards Aikawa and get off at the Aikawa stop (about 60 minutes). The hotel is about 5 minutes from the stop by taxi.
Ryokan Iriumi
This inn offers wonderful seafood dishes, including fried stingfish, grilled abalone, squid vermicelli, and live amaebi (sweet shrimp). Iriumi also has a black onsen, a type of onsen only found in a few places in Japan.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu Port: Take the bus bound for Aikawa and get off at Kubota Bus Stop (about 60 minutes). About 3 minutes on foot from there.
By car: About 30 minutes (16 km) from the Sado Steam Ship ferry port.
Hotel Meoto
This hotel offers an amazing view, located in front of the meoto rocks on Sado's beautiful Nanaura Coast. Guests can look forward to fine cuisine using mainly fresh seafood from the Nanaura fishing harbor.
How to get there?
From Ryotsu-ko Port: Take the bus bound for Aikawa and get off at Sawata Bus Stop (about 40 minutes). Then take the Nanaura Kaigan route bus bound for Aikawa and get off at Meotoiwa Bus Stop (about 25 minutes). Immediate access from there.
By car: From Sado Steam Ship Ryotsu-ko Port, take National Route 350 for about 30 minutes (15 km), then Prefectural Route 45 for about 20 minutes (11 km). Head towards Meotoiwa.
