Nogawaya Ryokan
A ryokan in the old town near Iwami Ginzan where silver had been produced several hundreds years ago. You can enjoy natural onsen (hot springs) and a tray of dishes served for a feast with fresh seafood from the nearby sea.
How to get there?
From Yunotsu Station (JR San-in Line): 3 min by car; 4 min by bus.
By car: 45 km from Hamada Expressway Oasa IC.
Tabi-no-yado Kiunsoh
Located at the heart of the spa resort as once a prosperous shipping port of Iwamiginzan (Iwami Silver Mine), this small homely inn with floors fully covered with tatami mats is the only one with open-air bath in Yunotsu Town.
How to get there?
From Shin-Yamaguchi Station (JR Sanyo Line, JR Yamaguchi Line): Take the train bound for Tottori to Yunotsu Station (160 min). It is about 20 min on foot or 4 min by taxi from there.
Ryokan Masuya (Yunotsu)
This wooden 3-story ryokan (traditional Japanese-style inn) has a history of 100 years. Kaiseki (traditional multi-course dinner) cuisine is served dish by dish in your own guest room. Please enjoy the atmosphere of the Meiji (1868-1912) and Taisho (1912-1026) eras.
How to get there?
From Izumo Airport: Take an Airport Limousine Shuttle Bus bound for Izumo-shi to JR Izumo-shi Station (30 min). Then take a JR San-in Line train bound for Masuda/Hamada to Yunotsu Station (60 min). It is about 15 min on foot or 3 min by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the San-in Expressway at Gotsu IC and continue along Route 9 for about 20 min (15 km).
