Koshi no Yado Takashimaya
This was originally a shoya yashiki (village head's residence) in the Edo era 260 years ago and is now registered as a national tangible cultural property. The inn features an irori (sunken fireplace), a large garden, ancient Japanese cypress large communal bath, an open-air Goemon bath, and kaiseki cuisine, all of which are popular with guests.
How to get there?
From Tsubame-Sanjo Station (JR Jo-etsu Shinkansen): Take the JR Yahiko Line train bound for Yoshida or Yahiko and get off at Yoshida Station (about 12 minutes). Then take the JR Echigo Line train bound for Niigata and get off at Iwamuro Station (about 7 minutes). About 8 minutes by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Hokuriku Expressway at Maki-Katahigashi IC and continue along Routes 460 and 116 for about 15 minutes (11 km).
Hotel Oohashi Yakatanoyu

Fujiya
The large communal baths located on the top floor and the open-air baths offer views of Mount Matsutake, which is known as the Fuji of Iwamuro. Reservable private baths are also available. The hotel has its own hot spring source.

From Yahiko Station (JR Yahiko Line) or Iwamuro Station (JR Echigo Line): About 10 minutes by taxi.
By car: Exit the Hokuriku Expressway at Maki-Katahigashi IC and continue along National Route 460 and Prefectural Route 2 for about 19 minutes (11 km). Head towards Iwamuro Onsen Hospital.
Yumeya
A small size inn built with sukiya style (a traditional way of construction for the tea ceremony room) is located in Iwamuro Onsen (hot springs) at the foot of Mt. Matsugatake.
