Located right in front of Lake Biwako, Ryokan Beniayu offers Japanese-style accommodations with a private open-air hot-spring bath and a massage chair. Guests can also enjoy the public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and relax with a massage. A free shuttle is available from JR Takatsuki Train Station, which is a 15-minute drive away. Guests who wish to use the shuttle must make a reservation upon booking.
The air-conditioned rooms feature Yukata robes, tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each includes a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle. Comes with an en suite bathroom and guests can borrow an iPad at the front desk.
Guests can purchase gifts at the souvenir shop and enjoy singing at the karaoke room. Luggage storage is available and free wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) is provided at the lobby area and in all guestrooms.
A traditional multi-course meal is served for dinner. A Japanese set menu is served for breakfast at the dining room.
Beniayu Ryokan is a 30-minute drive from Nagahama Castle Historic Museum and a 25-minute drive from Shakudo-ji Temple. Hikone Castle is a 50-minute drive away.
The large communal baths are available 6:00 - 9:30 and 14:00 - 12:00 (midnight).
