From Bungo-Mori Station (JR Kyudai Line): Take a Kusu Kanko Bus bound for Hosenji Onsen and get off at Hosenji-Onsen-Iriguchi Station (about 30 min). It is about 5 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Kokonoe IC and continue along National Route 210 for about 2 km (about 4 min), then Prefectural Route 387 for about 4 km (about 7 min). Head towards Hosenji Onsen Iriguchi (entrance).

By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Kokonoe IC and continue along National Route 210, then Prefectural Route Tano Makinoto Route for about 30 minutes (18 km).

From Oita Airport: about 90 min by taxi or 120 min by bus.
From Bungo-Nakamura Station (JR Kyudai Line): about 50 min by bus, or about 25 min by taxi at around JPY 4,000.
By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Kokonoe IC and continue along Prefectural Route 40 heading towards Chojabaru for about 30 min.

Located within Aso Kuju National Park, this ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) is enveloped in lush, green scenery. In addition to the standard hot spring baths, Houjyuya's main open-air bath allows mixed-gender bathing. Traditional kaiseki dinners are served in guest rooms. From Bungo-Nakamura Station (JR Kyudai Line): Take the bus bound for Sujiyu Onsen and get off at Sujiyu Onsen (about 45 minutes). About 7 minutes on foot from the bus stop.
By car: Exit the Oita Expressway at Kokonoe IC and continue along Shikisai Road (Route 210) for about 30 minutes (20 km). Head towards Kujyu Forest Park Skiing Ground.

By car: Exit the Oita Expressway from Kokonoe IC and take Route 210, then head towards Sujiyu Onsen via Shikisai Road.
