From Morioka Station (JR Tohoku Shinkansen): Take the express bus bound for Odate Ekimae (Station) and get off at Kosoku Kemanai (about 105 minutes). About 15 minutes by taxi from there.
By car: Exit the Tohoku Expressway at Towada IC and continue along Route 103 for about 15 minutes (8 km).
Himenoyu

From Yuze Onsen Station (JR Hanawa Line): About 3 minutes on foot.

From Morioka Station (JR Tohoku Shinkansen): Take the express bus "Michinoku-go" bound for Odate Station and get off at Kazuno-Hanawa Station (approx. 80 min). About 8 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Tohoku Expressway at Kazuno Hachimantai IC and continue along Route 282 for about 8 min (2 km).
Wafuyado Okabeso
Guests can indulge in hot springs with baths that have free-flowing water straight from the source, a garden bath, a mountain stream open-air bath, and private open-air bath! The specialty kiritanpo hot pot and countryside cuisine handmade with mountain vegetables and freshwater fish are quite popular among guests! How to get there?
From Morioka Station (JR Tohoku Shinkansen): Take the JR Hanawa Line bound for Odate to Towadaminami Station (about 140 min). From there, take a Towada Taxi bus bound for Shinotake to the Yamatobashi bus stop (about 20 min). It is about 1 min on foot from there.
By car: Exit the Tohoku Expressway from Towada IC and take Route 103 for about 8 km (about 15 min). Look for the sign along the road.
Fukenoyu
This healing village of forests and water is located in the virgin beech forests of Towada-Hachimantai National Park, at an elevation of 1,100 meters. Guests will be treated mountain delights and welcomed by kind hearts. Enjoy an austere, peaceful stay among mother nature and hot springs.
How to get there?
By car: Exit the Tohoku Expressway at Matsuo Hachimantai IC and continue along Prefectural Route Aspite Line for about 35 minutes (30 km). Head towards Fukenoyu Kyukeijo (rest house).
From Kazuno-Hanawa Station (JR Hanawa Line): Take the Hachimantai route bus bound for Hachimantai Sancho and get off at Fukenoyu Onsen (about 89 minutes). About 1 minute on foot from there.
Goshougake Onsen Ryokan
Located in an area with mud volcanoes and volcanic fume emissions, a place also known for great hot springs. The all-wood large communal shared bath features a mud bath, steam box and more for a total of 7 bath types.
How to get there?
From Morioka Station (JR Tohoku Shinkansen): Take the Michinoku expressway bus bound for Odate and alight at Kakuno-Hanawa Station (about 90 min). From there, take the Shuhoku bus bound for Hachimantai Chojo and alight at Goshogake Onsen (about 60 min). The hotel is about 5 minutes on foot from there.
By car: From Akita, take the Tohoku Expressway. Exit at the Kazuno-Hachimantai IC and continue along Route 341 and Hachimantai Aspite Line (40 min). From Iwate, take the Tohoku Expressway. Exit at the Matsuo Hachimantai IC and continue along the Hachimantai Aspite Line (approx. 60 min).
Pick-up service (winter only): from JR Hanawa Line Kazuno-Hanawa Station (1 trip daily).
