Santa Land Shirakami
This hotel is located at Lake Juni at the foot of Mt. Shirakami, the highest peak of the Shirakami mountain range, making it a perfect base for hiking. The log cottage guest rooms were constructed in Finland and provide guests with ample space to relax.

From Juniko Station (JR Gono Line): About 20 minutes on foot or about 3 minutes by taxi.
WeSpa Tsubakiyama
This hilltop amusement resort overlooks the beautiful Sea of Japan, surrounded by the World Heritage Shirakami Mountains. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Sea of Japan from the observatory deck. Western-style buildings such as the cottages, restaurant and souvenir shop are especially popular. The private cottages are a suitable choice for families and groups.
How to get there?
From Shin-Aomori Station (JR Tohoku Shinkansen): Take the JR Resort Shirakami train to WeSpa-Tsubakiyama Station (about 166 minutes). Immediate access from there.
By car: Exit the Akita Expressway at Noshiro-minami IC and continue along Route 7 for about 5 minutes (2 km), then Route 101 for about 60 minutes (59 km). Look for WeSpa Tsubakiyama signs.
Fukaura Kankou Hotel

From Fukaura Station (JR Gono Line): Take the bus bound for Fukaura Kanko Hotel and get off at Fukaura Kanko Hotel Bus Stop (about 10 minutes). Immediate access from there.
By car: Exit the Tohoku Expressway at Namioka IC and continue along Route 101 for about 120 minutes. Head towards Fukaura Rinkai gas station (ENEOS).
