From Asahikawa Airport: Approximately 40 minutes by taxi.
From Asahikawa Station: Take the Ideyu-go Bus bound for Asahidake Onsen and get off at the Asahidake Onsen entrance stop (70 min). The hotel is on the right. (*The bus runs three times a day, twice a day in the winter) Note: Because going from the airport to the Station and then taking a bus to the hotel requires a considerable bit of backtracking and the number of buses is limited, the hotel recommends guests consider taking the taxi if possible.

The "La Vista Daisetsuzan (Mt. Daisetsu)," a Northern European style mountain villa resort hotel is born! Surrounded by a primeval conifer forest, it stands in the halfway of Mt. Asahidake, the highest peak in Hokkaido, facing the magnificent view of "The Gods Playing Garden” (Kamuimintara). A free shuttle service is provided from JR Asahikawa Station. This service is by reservation only and reservations may not be accepted if seating is full.
Also, the service may not be in operation depending on the period. For those that would like to use the service, please contact La Vista Daisetsuzan at least 4 days prior to requested date.

Asahidake Onsen Hotel Bear Monte
Higashikawa, Asahikawa
Located 1,100 meters above sea level in Mt. Asahi-dake in Daisetsuzan National Park, just a 3-minute walk away from the Asahidake Ropeway, this hotel reopened after major refurbishment in July 2003. There is Wi-Fi Internet access available at the 1st floor lobby.

Asahidake Onsen Hostel K's House Hokkaido
Higashikawa, Asahikawa
This hostel is located partway up Mt. Asahi (elevation of 1,050 meters) - the highest peak in Hokkaido - in Daisetsuzan National Park. It is great for mountain climing and hiking in the summer, and in the winter it is bustling with guests searching for some of the world's highest quality of snow.
How to get there?
From Asahikawa Airport: About 45 min by taxi at around JPY 9,000; about 50 min by bus at around JPY 1,000 (as of Aug. 2019).
From JR Asahikawa Station: About 60 min by taxi at around JPY 11,000 (as of Aug. 2019).
By bus: From Asahikawa Station or Asahikawa Airport take a No. 66 Asahikawa Airport/Asahidake Line bus (Ideyu-go) to the Asahidake Onsen Iriguchi bus stop. The hostel is right in sight of the bus stop. *Please be aware that the final bus departs Asahikawa Station at 15:41 and Asahikawa Airport at 16:24 (as of Aug. 2019).
By car: Take Prefectural Route 1160 and it is 1 km before Asahidake Ropeway.
From JR Asahikawa Station: About 60 min by taxi at around JPY 11,000 (as of Aug. 2019).
By bus: From Asahikawa Station or Asahikawa Airport take a No. 66 Asahikawa Airport/Asahidake Line bus (Ideyu-go) to the Asahidake Onsen Iriguchi bus stop.
