Our most popular day tour, this guided one-day tour takes you to majestic Mt. Fuji and Hakone. It includes a stop at the Fuji Visitor Center, a trip up to Mt. Fuji's 5th station at an elevation of 2,300 meters, a cruise on pristine Lake Ashi, and a ride on the Komagatake Ropeway which boasts great views of the surrounding Hakone National Park.
This tour includes round-trip transportation from Tokyo by chartered bus and a Japanese-style lunch. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This tour visits scenic places that are very popular with Japanese tourists during fall (late Oct. - early Nov.) and spring (late Apr. - early May). On weekends and national holidays at these times, traffic can get extremely heavy and alterations to the itinerary are likely (see "Remarks"). As such, we highly recommend AVOIDING weekends and holidays during these seasons and joining on weekdays when typically fewer domestic tourists are visiting. Please note that traffic and other circumstances may cause changes to the itinerary on weekdays as well. | ||||||||||||

Depart Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal to visit the following by bus. *Report at least 10 minutes prior to departure.
Fuji Visitor Center (20 min)
Find out the current weather conditions, history, formation, and ecology of Mt. Fuji through exhibits and movies. The second floor observatory deck provides views of Mt. Fuji from up close.
Mt. Fuji 5th Station (30 min)
Climb 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level for breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding lakes on a clear day. Torii gates, shrines, and souvenir shops decorate this station known as the border between the heavens and the earth.

Enjoy a Japanese-style meal.
Lake Ashi cruise (15 min)
Go on a Hakone sightseeing cruise aboard a pirate ship modeled after medieval times. The crater filled lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles.
Mt. Komagatake Ropeway (50 min)
Catch sweeping views of Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Izu Peninsula, Izu Islands, Hakone National Park, and more while climbing up and down the mountain on an aerial cableway.
Return to Tokyo
Return to Tokyo by motorcoach.
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Tour disbands upon arrival in Shinjuku or Ginza in Tokyo. Guests may choose to leave the tour at either.
This tour has meal and return transportation options:
1. Mt. Komagatake Ropeway may not be visited due to traffic on the following days: Apr. 29, 30; May 1, 2, 6; Jul. 15, 20, 21, 27, 28; Aug. 3, 4, 17, 18, 24, 25, 31; Sep. 7, 16, 23 , 28; Oct. 5, 12, 14, 19, 26; Nov. 2 - 4, 9, 16, 23; Dec. 28 - 30. Heavy traffic is also expected on Oct. 12 and Nov. 2, 3., and Lake Kawaguchi may be substituted for Hakone. 2. Heavy traffic is expected on Oct. 12 and Nov. 2, 3. Depending on road and traffic conditions Hakone may be replaced by Lake Kawaguchi. No refunds or cancellations will be made in such cases. Also, arrival times at Tokyo are expected to be delayed to between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. 3. If Fuji Visitor Center is closed or the tour is behind the schedule due to traffic, Fuji Visitor Center may be skipped. 4. If the road to Mt.Fuji's 5th station is closed due to heavy snow or the tour is behind schedule due to traffic, the tour will be taken as high as possible. 5. As temperatures drop significantly on Mt. Fuji, it is recommended to bring an overcoat or other warm clothing in fall, winter, and spring. 6. The tour will not be cancelled or refunded if Mt. Fuji is not visible (partially or fully) due to the weather conditions. 7. Komagatake Ropeway or cruise on Lake Ashi may be omitted or substituted depending on traffic, weather conditions, or other operational concerns. If either or both are omitted the following alternatives may be used: Narukawa Art Museum in Hakone, Itchuku Kubota Art Museum, cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, pirate boat on Lake Ashi, Hakone En Aquarium, Hakone Shrine, Hakone Ropeway (Owakudani Valley), or Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway. Your tour guide will finalize alternatives based on careful consideration of tour logistics and other conditions. 8. The guide may not accompany back to Tokyo. In this case, information on how to return to hotels will be provided. 9. The bus may make multiple stops at hotels in Hakone to drop off overnight guests after sightseeing concludes.  Please select your desired departure date for available tour/grades and fare.
