The former residence of Ohgai Mori
Located on the northwestern edge of Tokyo's Ueno Park, Suigetsu Hotel Ohgaisou offers a classic combination of natural hot-spring baths and Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring.
All of the bathing facilities, both the natural cypress and marble bath, are also available on a per-use basis to those not staying at the hotel.
The hotel's Japanese-style annex is based around the private residence of famous novelist Ohgai Mori (1862 - 1922), who was one of the leading writers of the Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).
This is a charming Japanese-style hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, with a beautiful courtyard garden and a lovely public bath. If you love the works of Mori Ogai, you will be enchanted by this hotel!

Rooms in the 'Washitsu-kan' annex of Ohgaisou are furnished in a traditional Japanese style.
Guests who book their rooms with a meal included will be served in Ohgaisou's main dining room.

Sadachiyo's authentic entrance has been used as a backdrop for several period television dramas.
Just a short walk from Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Sukeroku-no-Yado Sadachiyo embodies the spirit of Edo, as Tokyo was called during the shogun's reign.
Starting at the entrance, visual cues give a taste of historical Japan. Sadachiyo's attention to tradition also carries over to its cuisine, a multi-course kaiseki affair.
At the end of the day, lodgers can choose to relax in either a large granite or cypress bath.
You really feel the "Japan" while staying in this Ryokan.
