TamahanHOME > Kyoto Winter Special 2010
The city of Kyoto invites all visitors to Japan to come to Kyoto during its "Kyoto Winter Special 2010" campaign.
From December 2009 to the end of March 2010, visitors can see a part of Japan that's been hidden away, as normally closed cultural sites open their doors to the public. Once night falls, stroll down the illuminated walkways during the Higashiyama area's Hanatouro winter event. Or, meet one of Kyoto's most celebrated residents face-to-face by taking part in a tea ceremony hosted by a group of Kyoto geisha and maiko.
Avoid the crowds of Kyoto's fall and spring, and discover an ancient capital full of shrines and temples serenely weathering the cold, and local cuisine that warms to the core.
Kyoto in winter: more value, more comfort. Reserve accommodation and tours through JAPANiCAN and gain a deeper understanding of Japan's cultural center.
