Directly accessible from Tokyo via the Tobu Nikko Line, the Kinugawa Park Hotels complex offers travelers several different options to experience the hot springs and hospitality of Kinugawa Onsen.
The two-story Kishintei and four-story Kinoyakata buildings offer the Japanese-style rooms and service to be expected of a traditional ryokan, but separate cottages are also available with Western-style twin rooms.
The arrangement gives guests the best of both worlds: the complete facilities of a larger resort and the private attention of a smaller inn.
My stay here was really fantastic. The rooms were a bit dated, but comfortable. Everything was so authentic and the hot spring/bath was simply amazing.

Located right by the renowned Toshogu complex, this hotel is ideal for sightseeing. It also has series of interesting rooms that come with such haughty boasts as increasing guests' fortune or worldly success.
Everyone here was very friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful, the food was exceptional, and the location was ideal, with a great view of the river right below the window of our room. I highly recommend this modern ryokan.

"The Midas Room" also boasts a beautiful private bath, making it an appealing option even if it does not impart infinite wealth.
The gorgeous scenery unfurls outside of the men's only bath.

Inside, this large ryokan features elegant rooms and delicate kaiseki dishes made from local ingredients like wagyu beef from the surrounding pastures of Tochigi Prefecture.
Senhime takes its name from a famous Japanese princess, and the ryokan strives to provide services and amenities for female guests worthy of its lofty namesake.
This is a high-class accomodation. Though a bit pricy for foreigners, it is a great way to experience a real Japanese ryokan. The food is excellent and everything is done at a very high standard.
