The ryokan was within expectation for the price paid. It is located in a quiet area, which is not very accessible unless you are driving or taking the shuttlebus. However, the room (we had in room herbal bath) and ambience was lovely and my husband really enjoyed himself. Dinner was great as well, especially the first night of grill, with Joshu wagyu beef. Defintely take the beef. It is well worth the money. :) Hot spring was decent. The onsen next to waterfall was pretty nice, and gives a zen feeling. However, we were very lucky to be there during the offpeak season. In room bath was great, with outdoor view. Mainly used the in room bath and open air bath during our stay.
